Hey! We’re Jimi & Sez, proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Canterbury locals, and the humans behind Blue’s Booth.
Blue’s story started long before the booth hit the road. We bought him back in 2010 as a rough old doer-upper that tested our patience more than once. Over the next six years, we poured our hearts into bringing him back to life with late nights, hard graft, and a whole lot of love.
By 2018, Blue was finally ready to roll and Blue’s Booth was born. What started as a fun idea quickly grew into something much bigger. Since then, we’ve been lucky enough to be part of weddings, parties, corporate events, and celebrations of all kinds, capturing the laughs, chaos, and moments that make a day unforgettable.
What makes it even more special is that Blue’s Booth has grown almost entirely through word of mouth. For us, that says everything. Happy people, genuine memories, and moments worth sharing.
Living in Canterbury, we’re constantly inspired by the beauty and energy of the South Island, and that’s exactly what we bring to every event. Because at the end of the day, it’s never just about photos… it’s about creating memories you’ll feel every time you look back at them.

The hands-on builder behind Blue, the one who took a rough old project and turned it into the beauty you see today. When he’s not tinkering, fixing, or dreaming up the next idea, you’ll usually find him chasing waves, snapping photos, or strumming the guitar (and wishing he had more time to do it all). Most importantly though, he’s a dedicated “Dabadeedee” to two beautiful girls… and brings that same heart and energy into everything he creates.
The creative force and the one who makes Blue’s Booth look and feel as special as it does. With an incredible eye for detail and a genuine passion for creating beautiful, memorable experiences, she’s the reason everything looks so good and runs so smoothly. She’s an amazing mum to two amazing daughters, a natural people person who loves a good yarn, and the one making sure every little detail is just right for your day.
